Dr. Theodor Morell
Theodor Gilbert Morell was born and raised in a small village called Trais-Münzenburg in the Upper Hesse region of Germany. He studied medicine in Grenoble and Paris and in 1910, became trained in obstetrics and gynecology in Munich. By 1913, he had a doctoral degree and was fully licensed. During WWI, he served on the front lines as a medical officer and in 1919 opened his own practice in Berlin. With unconventional treatment methods aimed at an upscale market of clients, Morell achieved success. So successful became Morell, that he turned down offers to be the personal physician for the Shah of Persia and King of Romania. In 1933 Morell joins the Nazi party and becomes exposed to Hitler's ideology. During a party at the Berghof (Hitler's home in Obersalzberg) in 1936, Hitler first met Morell, who said he could cure him within a year. And with that a partnership between the two developed and lasted almost until Hitler's death. A partnership, similar to that of Rasputin and Czar Nicholas and the Romanov family, as he was a very dirty man (he didn't believe in daily showers) who Hitler unquestionably trusted with his care.
As Hitler's Personal Physician
Dr. Theodor Morell became Hitler's personal physician in 1936. It is estimated that Morell gave Hitler over 60 different drugs over his career, some of which were taken daily. Morell's unconventional practices led him to acquire the nick-name "Der Reichsspritzenmeiste" which translates into "Injection Master of the German Reich". Many of his unconventional practices were performed on Hitler.
Hitler faced many gastrointestinal problems which Morell prescribed laxatives. However, for Hitler's gas, Morell gave him anti-gas tablets and Mutaflor, a tablet made from the feces of Bulgarian peasants which was aimed to reduce the effect of the laxatives he was taking. For his severe stomach cramps, Hitler received pain killers. This unfortunately had the opposite effect of the laxatives. Hitler was being over-medicated and was put into an even worse medical problem as his gut didn't know what to do; Obey the laxatives or painkillers?
Hitler was exposed to many highly addictive drugs while under Morell's care. He had taken many stimulants such as: opioids, codeine, cocaine, along with a drug that had recently been exposed: amphetamines. Withdrawal symptoms associated with discontinuing stimulant use include fatigue and depression. Repeated abuse of some stimulants can lead to feelings of hostility or paranoia, even psychosis. Further, taking high doses of a stimulant may result in dangerously high body temperature and an irregular heartbeat. There is also the potential for cardiovascular failure or seizures.

Effect on behavior and Policies to start wwii
Although Dr. Morell was highly regarded at the time Hitler employed him as a personal doctor, the amount of trust Hitler placed in him was too high. By being over-medicated, his gastrointestinal problems were worsened. Anyone who has ever had gastrointestinal discomfort would know how poorly one feels. This could attribute to anger and overall hostility when making policies. Likewise, by Hitler taking stimulant drugs, his judgement was impaired along with feelings of hostility and depression being evoked. All of these events affected Hitler's mental state and caused him to act harshly.
